Trophy Best Single Varietal White | 96 Points - 2019 RMWS
Hahndorf Hill are pioneers of Gruner Veltliner in Australia and a driving force
behind the rising popularity of this native Austrian variety locally. This new
release was a star performer at the 2019 Royal Melbourne Wine Show where it was
awarded a Gold Medal (96 Points) and took out a major trophy for 'Best Single
Varietal White'.
A wine that is always attracting plenty of interest on the back of its show success, this offers typically lifted aromatics with both the nose and palate brimming with complex and vibrant citrus, spice, ruby grapefruit, stone fruit and exotic tropicals. These long and intense flavours are all held together and balanced by a juicy acidity and subtle textural undertones.
A top class example of Australian Gruner Veltliner, this is a white wine with plenty of personality and excellent food appeal; we'd suggest seafood, spiced Asian and pork dishes.
